Fall 2021 - Spring 2023

This project was a full remodel of a 1950's mid-century home on the rugged coast of Rockport, Maine. Our team worked in collaboration with Kevin Browne Architecture to entirely rethink the home's floor plan, including adding two bathrooms and a bedroom, and to refresh the tired space to function as a warm and welcoming vacation home.

The five bedroom / four bathroom home boasts classic mid-century paneled ceilings, multi-level living, and large picture windows. We used subdued, earthy colors and a natural material palette to focus attention on the home's architecture and views while curating a sense of sophisticated comfort. Oak floors, plaster accents, Zellige tile, and soft upholstery fabrics create a quiet backdrop for the spectacular natural surroundings. Traditional New England and modern organic elements are layered into the space to create a nuanced, balanced approach to modern living.
